Scroll down, and a bit below my picture you'll see "Categories". The only category is "My lymphoma and related medical stuff". If you click on that, only the lymphoma-related and a few other health-related postings will appear! My other ramblings, family stories, and mediocre jokes will be gone.
Then go to this January 8th posting, Tom Faranda's Folly: Four months of journaling that gives links to 13 earlier posts. These posts will give you a good picture of my chemo treatment prior to the Sloan Kettering admission with the stem cell transplant. The 13 posts take a total of about 20 minutes to read. Of course, feel free to read the many other posts in the first four months, if you are so inclined.
Then start working chronologically forward from January 8th.
Faranda
We are all rooting for you over here on the Emerald Isle!!

Tom, just got a call today from my dear friend, sherry hansen. her son, keith, in his early 30s married with a 2yr old and a baby on the way, was just diagnosed with myloma/bone cancer. no cure but a hope of remission. he's up in albany at st. mary's. started out with a pneumonia/pluresy diagnosis but after being in a lot of pain, ended up in emer room. days later after a lot of tests, the news. anyway, please keep him in your prayers. he's been in the hospital since monday and everything seems to be going wrong - too much calcium causing a lot of pain, etc. he is supposed to go for a consult in boston (dana farber) monday. he is such a wonderful, loving young man. my friend is full of faith but this has been just devastating for their family. so atomic faranda prayers are needed. thanks love thea

Hello Tom,
I am Faye's husband who you post comments to on her Journey through cancer blog site. I really appreciate you taking the time to keep on these things and finally I am starting to do the same and for the first time have gone to your site. I have much to read. I am thinking of updating Faye's site from the perspective of the caregiver and spouse point of view.
Anyway, after I read up on your site a bit I may comment more.
Prayers from Michigan. (actually typing this from the U of M hospital where Faye is at now)

Hello
Our doctor feels that our son, age 27,may have lymphoma. He has had diabetis for 21 years. Is there anyone that give me information.
The doctor decided to try doxycicyline first to rule out cat scratch fever. Our son has been on the med for a few days and since then has not elevated temp.
Any thoughts?

Tom;
Googled Faranda NY and found your Journal and info Hope all goes well with all the upcomong stuff your going into. My original name was Faranda, born in the Bronx 1946 my father was Leo Faranda but I never met him so I thought I'd see if by chance we're related and might have info on my Father. You never know it's really a small world and you & I have similar profiles. If not, Good luck PK
