Trying something a little different - this is going out to lots of people, from Croton to the other side of the world, in six different emails.
Funny, Brigid and I always look very pale in pictures with Tim and Joe. ...
So that's Joe wearing the RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology) sweatshirt. Joe is 18, graduated from Fordham Prep last May and is now a freshman doing electrical engineering at RIT. Rochester is in northern NY State, close to the Canadian border and about a six hour drive from our house. His degree is a five year program (most USA college degrees are four years) - what's called a co-op program. In his last three years, he'll actually be working for half the time. Joe will have to interview, and get real jobs, not internships. And get paid, which is nice. He could end up anywhere in the country, or even abroad, for his work experience.
The wide-body big dude (relatively ...) is Tim and he just turned 15 a few days ago. Tim is a freshman at Stepinac HS in White Plains - one of the top (I went there) Catholic high schools in the NY area. Besides academics he made a decision to concentrate on football - he is a very good baseball and good basketball player, but decided football is his sport. Unfortunately after becoming the starting fullback, starting linebacker, the punter and kicking off for the freshman team (and the roster was 50 players) he suffered a fluke knee injury on the sideline of his second game, and had to have his lateral collateral ligament (LCL, which I'd never heard of before he tore it) reconstructed. Lost the rest of his season, but is making a full recovery. Tim will be allowed full activity in three weeks. He is back working out in the gym for his upper body - go here for his latest lift.
Brigid is having fun doing research on old houses in the Croton area and I am slogging along in my financial advisory practice - very difficult right now, since my primary clients are small businesses.
Unfortunately have no plans for any major trips in the near future, much as we'd like to get to the UK and down under. HOWEVER, there' always room at Farandaville - in fact right now Joe has an RIT classmate with us for part of the Christmas break - Mala, an exchange student from India.
So, come one, come all!
Merry Christmas Farandas!

That's ambitious! You could be inundated with "don't wake until 3pm" "grande half macchiato-half cap doubleshot steamed skinny milk" "I was just looking for the plunger"
Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas to all of you from Mary and our family. Thank you all so much for your prayers on my sister's behalf. It has been a tough year but we have been very blessed. Tim, glad you are so improved! Joe, study hard - engineers make the world go round and they can work anywhere they want to! Take care! Happy New Year! Mary Keon

Hi Tom,
Thanks for the message and the update. Great to hear about you and the family. We are all well, and have just enjoyed a great Christmas. My elder son Graham is now engaged to be married this coming June.
Best wishes to you all for the New year.
