Actually Tim PR'd and I matched mine.
Tim did a rep at 270 lbs., 5 lbs more then he had done. I did 175. So he can bench 95 lbs more then I can. And that was after he'd done lots of reps at lighter weights (so had I) - he'd had no intention of going for a PR today.
When Tim started lifting weights in December, 2010, he could bench about what I could lift. But he left me in the dust after about six weeks!
HOWEVER based on some online reseach I did a few months ago, and just re-visited, we are both doing very well when you adjust for our own weights and ages.
