The Holy Name of Mary Church gym. Here's a nice feature about Jim in the Journal News.
Church gym to bear Jim Moore's name
Moore has made significant contributions to the Croton and Holy Name communities. He founded the Holy Name of Mary CYO program in 1965 and served as director/coach for 24 years. He returned to the court to help coach his grandson in 2006. Additionally, Moore founded the Croton Flag Football program in 1968 and the Croton Recreation Basketball Program in 1969. He was a minor league and little league baseball coach in the 60s and 70s.
He has been a member of the Knights of Columbus since 1951 and served as its Grand Knight for three years. He has also been an active member of the Holy Name of Mary council since moving to Croton in 1960.
Ha! Jim's been a K of C knight since the year I was born!
The dedication ceremony is at noon today, in the gym.
