The famed physicist who was confined to a wheelchair. I read his book A Brief History of Time many years ago, and while he said he was an atheist, he wasn't an obnoxious, militant guy. In fact by all account he was a wonderful fellow who bore his terrible disability with grace and dignity. He did have a religious funeral, so perhaps he had a last minute change of heart or some of his family members wanted it? Here is a posting I did about another book he'd written ten years ago trying to prove there was no need to posit a God. The gist of it was, everything just popped into existence of it's own accord - something from nothing. Not very scientific. Really, that was it.
Anyway here's a brief video of the internment service at Westminster.
Where else could a genius rest, but with other geniuses. May He now know the Almighty in all His glory.
