Amazon to give out $500 million in end of year bonuses.

Well that's good. They have thrived during the pandemic. They now have over 1.2 million employees globally. And Amazon forecasts revenue of $112 billion to $121 billion in the final three months of the year. It reported third-quarter revenue of $96.1 billion, up from almost $70 billion a year earlier. The starting wage in the US at Amazon is $15/hr.

Amazon is providing front-line workers a one-time bonus to share its appreciation for their work heading into “the peak of the holiday season,” the company announced Thursday. In a blog post, Dave Clark, Amazon’s senior vice president of retail operations, said full-time operations staff who are employed by the company from December 1 to December 31 will receive a $300 bonus. Part-time workers employed within the same timeframe will receive a $150 bonus.
