Certainly a bad look and at least he had the sense to come right back to Texas with an apology. That’s way more than all the vacationing and partying lock down Democrats did during the Pandemic. Again our mainstream media wants us to focus on some random Republican’s “horrible” error while ignoring Biden’s complete lack of response to the Texas’ disaster and hoping the Cuomo scandals fall off the radar. It’s the typical look at the squirrel in the chimney problem while ignoring the entire ship sinking. Any major media outlets questioning gas prices going up considerably? What about all those lost pipe line jobs held by Americans and Canadians? Never mind that! Let us ask and listen to Biden on how he is enjoying his bedroom in the White House. Ridiculous! Maybe Biden is too tired from using his pen so much over the past few weeks. Hahaha!

Flyin’ Ted has admitted his trip to Cancun (America First?) was a “mistake”, but I haven’t heard an apology yet. Yet the Democratic COVID Hyprocrites he tweeted about in December have actually said they apologize for their behavior. At least those Democrats didn’t blame their children for their bad decisions.

Jessica

Keep focusing on Ted. He has such an impact on us in NY (sarcasm).
Never mind that our own governor ordered Covid patients to nursing homes killing 15,000 seniors and conspiring to hide those numbers from the public and Trump’s DOJ. His team admitted this corruption. Meanwhile let’s keep focusing on Ted’s poor choice of what amounted to one night away. That’s so much more important than things actually affecting and destroying NYers lives (sarcasm). The squirrel in the chimney is exciting to watch while our house is on fire.

Interesting to compare the Cruz fiasco with NY and Cuomo. Last night's MSNBC 11PM show spent 2/3's of their hour on the Cruz fiasco. Cuomo got about 2 minutes. The night before neither Rachel Maddow nor the 11PM show said a word about the death of Rush Limbaugh.

The reason that Flyin' Ted is the subject of such attention is because he has a big mouth when it comes to criticizing others. He may have been able to enjoy his weekend in the sun with minimal attention if he didn't have such a history of tweeting misinformation and insulting comments about persons he is politically opposed to. It's got nothing to do with the problems in Albany.

Jessica

Good for Cruz for calling out Dems who locked us down while they partied!
Now the Democrat controlled media is using this story as a smoke screen to cover up for major Democrat corruption. Yes, what’s happening in Albany is a problem directly impacting us. Ted Cruz’s night away is not. Guess which is the media focus? It’s obvious how corrupt mainstream media is.

Jessica

Where is our President Hiding Biden? Too tired to address Texas or send aid?

NW 332

“I thank President Biden for quickly issuing a Federal Emergency Declaration…This disaster declaration provides Texas with additional resources and assistance that help our communities respond to this winter weather.”

-Governor Greg Abbott (February 14, 2021)

Jessica

Great and Dandy for the emergency declaration but I seriously doubt it’s enough. How about Biden get in front of cameras and answer real questions! How about Americans watch Cuomo impeached and put on trial for all his corruption! How about Americans get real life questions answered instead of us seeing pictures of Ted Cruz doing a one day round trip! It’s infuriating to be honest. Our state had bombed the virus handling, the vaccine roll out and the economy. Yet people are already thanking Biden? For what? Smiling and seldom showing his face? He didn’t even ask Cuomo one question about his admitted corruption while visiting the White House. And you are thanking him? Americans who voted for these horrible leaders will suffer the most.

MR

Seems like he doesn't understand his role and responsibilities. I didn't buy the spin about being a good father and also being in constant communication.

Jessica

Yes MR keep focusing on the “bad” politicians the liberal media keeps highlighting. Continue to ignore all the major missteps Democrats have taken. That’s the way the liberal media works. If he was a Democrat people and the major media networks would be jumping over themselves completely defending the senator.
It’s sorely obvious.

MR

Jessica, my position was formulated after watching Ted Cruz interviewed by Sean Hannity.

It was not meant to address other major missteps by either party.

Jessica

Why are wasting our time on a senator in Texas who travelled away for one night? This is getting so much press it’s beyond absurd. He is not a mayor in these towns or the governor. He is a senator. The hyper focus on this is bizarre and unproductive.

Jessica

When Hurricane Sandy hit people were not looking to our senators for immediate emergency actions. They were looking to local officials, governors and mayors. I don’t believe Senators are supposed to manage emergency services to local officials who lost power in a storm.
It’s clear this about sticking it to Cruz and not that he left on a trip.
The job of a senator is introduce act on behalf of their region in legislative sessions. The job does not involve organizing emergency services after a disaster.

NW 332

A senator’s and representative’s job doesn’t necessarily involve hands-on emergency management, but it does involve hands-on advocating for his or her constituents in times of crises. They should be actively involved with coordinating relief requests from the federal government and formulating aid legislation. By the way, Flyin’ Ted voted against providing Hurricane Sandy aid for New York.

NW 332

As a matter of fact, an evil, and no doubt corrupt, New York Democratic congresswoman raised $3.2 million in aid for storm victims in Texas and then flew down to Texas to assist at a food bank. What did Flyin’ Ted do? Oh yeah, he’s been busy unpacking...

Jessica

You are really nailing Cruz to a cross for this. Did you feel the same way about Democrats who locked citizens down hard while they traveled, partied, and dined out? Do you feel senators should not travel out of state with their families during an emergency? If it’s this important, should that be a law going forward for all of them? Should the president be required to frequent a storm hit state too? Should that be another law made going forward?
How far should this go or is this all political smoke and mirrors?
Yes it didn’t look great optical what Cruz did but clearly the out pouring of hatred towards the man and his family while others who did this barely got scorned in the media, is unmistakable.

Jessica

Just admit it: any Republican that has a chance at the presidency for 2024 or to be re-elected will have liberal media hit pieces done on them nonstop. Just look at Ron DeSantis. They frequently complain about him too. It’s really annoying and people see through this.
